Cleaned up home...picture perfect?

Here are the final photos we ended up using in our marketing materials for our FSBO.  I've learned a few things about photography since we made up these flyers. So they aren't perfect, but it's what we ended up with...

Living room, dining room, view from bedroom.

Bedroom, ceiling tiles, kitchen and nursery.

Nursery and bathroom.

It should be noted that the photos posted on MLS can be enlarged so they are not so cropped.

We cleaned off most surfaces and took away the necessary, but unsightly objects we all have.  After all, no one really wants to look at a diaper pale or all of your toothbrushes and toothpaste. All those things came back out right after we took the photos but we do put them away during open houses and showings.

So far we have had some interested buyers but no offers. Only one buyer's agent has decided not to boycott us and bring a prospect by. Any advice??

  1. I have some advice- When you take pictures, focus on the walls, windows, doors, and permanent fixtures. Pictures that focus on furniture don't help the potential buyers see your house, only the stuff in it.

  2. Thanks for the advice! We have done that on our MLS listing. I must say, it's tough with a point and shoot to get a good "room view" in a smallish room.

Thanks for the tips! Come back soon!
